Thins Tzatziki

In the early part of last decade, Red Rock Deli used to have a tzatziki flavour in its regular line up of potato chips. A search online shows no record of its existence, but D and I vividly remember it as a much loved flavour so we were delighted to see this Thins Tzatziki at the supermarket.

The chips were thin cut and pale yellow in colour with flecks of green (parsley). They have a tangy sour cream aroma that came through initially on tasting before a creamy garlicky flavour in the body ahead of the lightness of the cucumber in the finish. We’re not usually fans of such thin cut chips, but the thinness of these chips worked remarkably well in carrying the lightness of the tzatziki flavour.

This Smith’s Tzatziki contained 150 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
