This is the Nestlé KitKat Gooey Caramel.
It consisted of four wafer fingers topped with caramel (15%) and covered in milk chocolate.
The fingers have a sweet chocolate aroma, while on tasting, the gooey caramel gave a chewiness that complements the milk chocolate and contrasts well with the crispness of the wafers. The overall mouthfeel recalled a Twix bar, yet does not hit the same spot as the caramel is less generous and the crispness of the wafer is not quite as satisfying as the crunch of the shortbread base of the Twix. This is a pedestrian combination of flavours and textures and while enjoyable, we prefer the original KitKat and the original Twix.
This Nestlé KitKat Gooey Caramel contained 45 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
