Each cup contained a dried noodle cake, along with dehydrated vegetables (corn, carrot, onion, green onion) as well as dehydrated pollock fish meat (or crab stick). The noodles were prepared by rehydrating in 250 mL of hot water for 3 minutes.
The presence of black pepper was immediately discernible in both the aroma and taste of these instant noodles, manifesting with a moderate warmth that persisted on the lips. Its characteristic peppery bite, capable of provoking a cough-like sensation when consumed hastily, was equally noticeable. Amidst the flavours, the shrimp flavour took a more prominent role compared to the crab, which chiefly came through the crab stick – a derivative of pollock fish. The crab stick, upon rehydration, attained a texture reminiscent of its fresh counterpart, as did the vegetables, introducing a touch of sweetness. The rehydrated noodles exhibited a soft texture, devoid of any springiness, yet adeptly absorbed the peppery flavour. In its entirety, despite the subtle crab undertone, the assertive peppery profile stood out and contributed to an enjoyable experience.
