The chips were crinkle-cut, coated in an orange seasoning sprinkled with red and green specks, and emitted a mild cheesiness in their aroma.
Upon tasting, the initial notes of cheese were consistent with a gentle, mozzarella-like flavour rather than the sharper parmesan, and were milder in taste than in scent. These cheese notes were followed by a robust savoury umami from the tomato, accompanied by a subtle touch of sweetness. In the latter part of the chip, the rich potato flavour emerged, along with a lightly spiced freshness of basil that came through in the finish. A subtle, lingering heat added to the pleasant aftertaste, gradually developing a moreish quality over subsequent chips. In general, these chips delivered a robust pizza flavour that was enjoyable, although we still preferred the other flavours in the series.
