This Nespresso Barista Creations Chiaro is the lowest roast of the three coffees making up the Barista Creations series that was designed for preparing with milk. It consisted of a blend of Kenyan Arabica and Indonesian Arabica split roasted at a relatively low temperature and for a moderate amount of time.

It has an intensity of 5 out of 12 and comes in a beige capsule with a marbled pattern.

The ristretto is a translucent black with a mellow biscuity aroma.

Prepared as a cappuccino — 25 mL of coffee and 60 mL of (frothed) milk — the coffee had an incredibly smooth mouthfeel with a natural, gentle caramel sweetness in the body before a sweet biscuit finish. The overall flavour was reminiscent of a speculuoos biscuit, recalling the one from Starbucks but without the overpowering sweetness. This is a coffee for those who aren’t big fans of the acidity or bitterness that usually characterises coffee.
This Nespresso Barista Creations Chiaro contained 10 x 5.3 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
