This is the Mango Pomelo Sago ($7.90, $2.00 off during a promotional period, less ice, regular sweetness) from A³ Cafe, containing R2E2 mango, sago, and agar pearls with coconut milk and mango juice, topped with red pomelo flesh.
The drink presented with a marbled yellow-orange and white appearance, with translucent pearls settled at the base and scattered red pomelo flecks on the surface.
When consumed chilled, it delivered smooth and creamy mango and coconut flavours, both coming through with unexpected vibrancy and richness. The sago and agar pearls contributed layered texture, while the pomelo added intermittent pops of acidity that kept the drink lively. Given the thin and poorly executed drinks encountered elsewhere in the range, this version was a surprise success, tasting rich, cohesive, and satisfying enough to prompt an immediate reorder.

On the second order, however, the drink was prepared incorrectly as a smoothie rather than with less ice. While this resulted in more visually defined layers, the mango slush component was noticeably muted in flavour. The increased thickness also made it difficult to integrate with the coconut milk and the toppings at the base, resulting in a less balanced and less enjoyable drink overall.
Overall, when made correctly this was a strong and satisfying mango pomelo sago, but inconsistent preparation significantly undermined reliability and confidence in repeat orders.
This Mango Pomelo Sago was purchased from A³ Cafe in Sydney, Australia in February 2026.
