This is Bread Bite, a bakery focusing on Chinese-style breads, pastries and baked goods.

Egg Tart ($1.90)
This featured a shortcrust pastry filled with egg custard. The pastry adhered to the aluminium casing, making it difficult to remove intact, while a pronounced margarine flavour dominated the crust. The pastry was well browned, however, providing a firm, brittle contrast to the silky and smooth custard. The custard itself had a clean texture but lacked a pronounced egg flavour. Overall, an acceptable shortcrust egg tart, though its poor structural integrity and muted custard profile made it largely unmemorable.

Jumbo Cinnamon Pie Donut ($3.50)
This featured laminated pastry braided into a twist resembling a kwabaeggi, then deep-fried and coated in cinnamon sugar. The braiding created ample surface area, allowing the pastry to develop a crisp texture throughout while remaining light and airy inside. The numerous nooks and crannies also carried the cinnamon sugar effectively, distributing the seasoning across each bite. This was the stronger of the two items and one worth repurchasing.

Overall, a bakery defined by straightforward baked goods, with execution varying between functional and notably stronger laminated pastry. The Jumbo Cinnamon Pie Donut was the standout, benefiting from its crisp, airy structure and effective cinnamon sugar distribution.
