This Cheeky Rascal Raspberry & Apple Cider is produced by Rebello Wines. This is the same fruit winery that has won awards at the Australian Fruit Wine Show. They would know how to mix fruit and alcohol.
The cider is a transparent pink colour with a sweet, fruity nose and a light carbonation. Served chilled, sweet fruity notes of raspberry apple came through at the head of each sip before the more familiar notes of crisp apple emerged in the body ahead of a dry winey finish that leaves a sweet fruity aftertaste. Overall, the cider has a satiny smooth mouthfeel and sweetness that is more reminiscent of fruit wine than cider. But that stands to reason, as it’s produced a fruit winery. At 8% alcohol, the cider is not too dry and noticeably more alcoholic than our ordinary ciders (usually at 4% alcohol) although still enjoyable
