Chrysanthemum tea, a tisane made from dried chrysanthemum flowers, has many benefits according to traditional Chinese medicine. These rumoured magical properties aside, chrysanthemum tea is one of the few Chinese medicines that are truly enjoyable. Served hot or chilled, the tisane is very refreshing.
This is Yeo’s Chrysanthemum Tea, in a limited edition packaging for the Year of the Dragon in 2024.
The tisane presented a transparent golden yellow hue with a sweet floral aroma. When enjoyed chilled, the initial light sweetness and floral notes of chrysanthemum gradually transitioned into earthier, more herbal tones. This was followed by a crisp honey-like sweetness from cane sugar, lingering briefly before a refreshing, clean aftertaste. Overall, the chrysanthemum tea offered a refreshing and cooling experience, making it a worthy candidate for repurchase.
This Yeo’s Chrysanthemum Tea contained 250 mL. It was produced in Malaysia and first purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
