This is the Cherry & Coconut Chocolixir ($8.50, +$2.00 for large), part of the Christmas 2025 range from Godiva.
The beverage presented as distinct layers: a deep red cherry compote at the base, a thick chocolate–coconut milk shake above it, and a final layer of whipped cream finished with chocolate syrup and coconut. The components were clearly delineated, giving the drink a striking visual structure.
When consumed chilled, it delivered a dense, luxuriant texture. The cherry compote carried an intense, concentrated fruit profile that integrated smoothly with the thicker chocolate shake, producing a rounded, full-bodied flavour. The whipped cream added a soft, creamy lift, while the chocolate syrup—having resolidified slightly in the cold—introduced small shards of dark chocolate that gave an unsweetened, crisp counterpoint to the sweetness elsewhere. The coconut registered subtly, contributing enough aroma and flavour to evoke a refined cherry ripe without overwhelming the composition. The pieces of cherry in the compote reinforced the fruit character and added a pleasant chew.
Overall, this was a deeply indulgent drink that balanced richness, texture, and fruit intensity with surprising finesse.
