This Nespresso Barista Creations Coconut Flavour Over Ice is a part of a limited edition designed to be enjoyed prepared over ice.
The coffee has a base espresso blend of medium-roasted Arabicas from Brazil and Central and South America and is flavoured with a coconut and a hint of vanilla. It doesn’t have the usual intensity rating and comes in a brown-coloured capsule with a fern motif.
The espresso was an opaque dark brown colour with a roasted coconut aroma.
Prepared black with a 1:1 ratio of espresso and water, the notes of coconut came through immediately with its signature nuttiness and a hint of acidity at the head of each sip before transitioning smoothly to the roasted caramel notes of the espresso in the body. The flavour came to prominence with a toasted coconut quality in the finish. Prepared with milk to make an iced latte, the coffee took on a creamy milky coconut taste with a hint of sweet vanilla. Overall, the coffee was enjoyably mellow with a rounded mouthfeel and delicate acidity, but we prefer the taste of coffee without the coconut flavouring.
