This Arnott’s Tim Tam Slams Dark Choc & Sticky Raspberry is the second of four flavours designed specifically for the cult ritual that is the Tim Tam Slam.

Each biscuit is 7 x 3 x 1.5 cm and composed of dark chocolate enrobing two dark chocolate biscuits that sandwich two strips of raspberry flavoured buttercream with a centre strip of sticky raspberry sauce.

Raspberries are one of our favourite fruits for pairing with cocoa and this Tim Tam is no exception. The unsweetened gentle bitterness with a hint of savoury in the biscuit pairs well with the sweet raspberry buttercream and the more acidic and sticky raspberry sauce in the centre. Indeed, when eaten straight from the fridge, the raspberry sauces has a toffee-like chewiness that adds a positive variety to the normal textures of crunchy biscuit and soft buttercream, making this version in the Slams series one of my favourites.
