This is the Asahi Calpis Soda Fuyu no Kutsurogi Jikan. This seasonal edition of Calpis Soda, titled Fuyu no Kutsurogi Jikan (“Winter Relaxation Time”), featured a richer, winter-only formulation with twice the milk content of the standard Calpis Soda.

The beverage had an opaque white hue with a rich Calpis aroma and moderate carbonation composed of fine bubbles, milder than those typically found in Western soft drinks. When consumed chilled, the familiar Calpis flavour emerged immediately—initially sweet, followed by a bright, tangy yoghurt acidity mid-sip. The texture was noticeably smoother and slightly more viscous than regular Calpis Soda, lending a gentle creaminess that enhanced the overall richness.
As the carbonation softened toward the finish, the tanginess receded, allowing the sweet, milky yoghurt notes to linger briefly before a clean aftertaste. Despite the increased milk content, the drink remained well-balanced and refreshing, avoiding any cloying dairy heaviness. The fine bubbles contributed to a light mouthfeel, making it a well-executed, seasonally tailored take on Calpis that delivered both richness and drinkability.
This Asahi Calpis Soda Fuyu no Kutsurogi Jikan contained 450 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
