This is the Asahi Mintia Breeze Ultra Black, featuring three times the menthol content of the Silver version.

Each mint was circular, approximately 11 mm in diameter and 0.6 mm thick. The white base was speckled with dark green to black flecks. Upon tasting, the mint began with a mellow flavour that quickly intensified, clearing the sinuses and leaving a pronounced cooling sensation. The intensity on the tongue bordered on stinging, though the mint maintained a smooth texture without disintegrating. Its strong presence lingered on the palate for an extended period. While the strength effectively freshened the breath and justified repurchasing for that purpose, it also shared a downside with mouthwashes—leaving the tongue dulled to other flavours shortly after consumption.

This Asahi Mintia Breeze Ultra Black contained 22 g (30 pieces). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2024.
