This is the Asahi Minita Setoka, made using freeze-dried juice from Setoka oranges produced in the Setouchi region, an area well known for its citrus.

Each mint was a small circular disc measuring approximately 0.7 cm in diameter and about 0.3 cm in height. They had an off-white hue with fine orange flecks and carried a light, sweet citrus aroma reminiscent of mikan.

On tasting, the smooth surface dissolved quickly, releasing a gentle sweetness followed by a bright mikan-like citrus flavour. As the mint continued to dissolve, a mild acidity emerged, keeping the sweetness in check and maintaining a fresh, juicy character. The flavour felt close to fresh fruit in profile, capturing the aromatic brightness of citrus without the artificial edge or lingering aftertaste often associated with sweetened mints.

Overall, this delivered a clear and lively Setoka orange flavour that felt bright, refreshing, and well balanced for such a small format.
