This is the Bibigo Seaweed Chip Potato. These snacks consisted of fried seaweed sheets layered with a thin coating of potato and dusted in salt.

They were rectangular, measuring about 4 x 3 cm with a thickness of approximately 1.5-2 mm.

The chips had a subtle fried aroma with savoury hints of seaweed. Upon tasting, they offered a light and crispy texture, with both the seaweed and potato sides crumbling cleanly. The potato side provided a familiar savoury quality akin to traditional potato chips, complemented by the salt crystals dissolving gradually on the tongue. As the bite progressed, the deep umami of the seaweed emerged, lingering in the finish. Overall, this potato variation offered a more conventional flavour compared to the nutty richness of the brown rice version. We found both variations addictive, thanks to their light, crispy texture and rich umami flavour.
This Bibigo Seaweed Chip Potato contained 40 g. It was produced in South Korea and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
