Kabaya Pureral Gumi Strawberry

This is the Kabaya Pureral Gumi Strawberry. It used the juice of strawberries grown in Japan.

Each gummy was a square prism measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm, emitting a sweet-tart aroma of fresh strawberries. The gummy had a white base with vibrant red jelly bits on the top half.

Upon tasting, the white portion had a light and fluffy marshmallow texture, with each bite offering elastic resistance, similar to an aerated gummy. In contrast, the red bits had a firmer, jelly-like texture, biting through cleanly without resistance. The white marshmallow provided an initial sweetness reminiscent of icing sugar, which was soon followed by a fresh acidity and mellow strawberry flavour. This contrasted with the more intense strawberry flavour and vibrant sweetness of the red jelly bits. When eaten together, the white and red parts created a boldly juicy and intense strawberry flavour with balanced sweetness and sourness, evoking the taste of fresh strawberries and offering a delightful interplay of textures, making them worth repurchasing.

This Kabaya Pureral Gumi Strawberry contained 58 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
