Kabaya Pureral Gumi Grape

This is the Kabaya Pureral Gumi Grape. It used the juice of grapes grown in Japan.

Each gummy was a square prism measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm, emitting a juicy grape aroma. The gummy had a very pale pastel purple base with vibrant purple jelly bits on the top half.

Upon tasting, the base had a light and fluffy marshmallow texture, with each bite offering a gentle bounce, similar to an aerated gummy. In contrast, the jelly bits had a firmer, jelly-like texture, biting through cleanly without resistance. The white marshmallow provided an initial nondescript sweetness, which was soon followed by a grape flavour that began with a fresh acidity and intensified to a rich, juicy flavour on subsequent chews. This contrasted with the purple jelly bits, which offered a more vibrant sweetness of reminscent of juice concentrate. When eaten together, the white and purple parts created a boldly juicy and intense grape flavour with balanced sweetness and sourness, evoking the taste of fresh grapes and offering a subtle yet delightful interplay of textures, making them worth repurchasing.

This Kabaya Pureral Gumi Grape contained 58 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
