Kirin Gogo no Kōcha Tea Selection Winter Blend Tea Latte

This is the Kirin Gogo no Kōcha Tea Selection Winter Blend Tea Latte, with the tea extracted at high temperature and high pressure, similar to espresso.

The beverage had an opaque tan hue with a sweet vanilla aroma.

When consumed chilled, it opened with a pronounced vanilla sweetness that developed into a caramel-like quality mid-body, characteristic of the brand’s milk tea. Toward the finish, the sweetness — bordering on cloying — receded, allowing the fruity character of the black tea to emerge, adding depth before settling into a soft, sweet milk tea aftertaste. The latte carried a rich mouthfeel, reinforced by the stronger vanilla note in the first half, while the second half showed greater balance, with caramel tones and tea nuances providing more dimension.

Overall, this was pleasant, richer and sweeter than the brand’s original milk tea, but not one to repurchase, as the upfront vanilla-driven sweetness was somewhat overwhelming.

This Kirin Gogo no Kōcha Tea Selection Winter Blend Tea Latte contained 400 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
