Lotte Pie no Mi Pear

This is the Lotte Pie no Mi Pear. It contained 0.3% fermented butter, 1% juice from La France pears produced in Yamagata Prefecture, and 0.08% sour cream powder.

Each box contained 17 hexagonal pieces, each measuring approximately 3 cm by 2.5 cm by 1.5 cm. The pieces featured a glazed puff pastry with a centre of La France pear flavoured white chocolate.

The pastries emitted a sweet pear aroma. Biting through the pastry revealed a very light and crisp puff. The chocolate centre, which was thick and more solid on a winter’s day, softened with a creamy and smooth consistency, delivering a fragrant La France flavour with a mellow sweetness. Despite the gentleness of the flavour, the aromatic notes of La France lingered long in the aftertaste, reminiscent of a similarly flavoured tea. Overall, these La France pear-flavoured puffs were well-executed, with excellent flavour and texture, making them worth purchasing and a far cry from the sickeningly greasy Always Fresh Pasticcini Petite Pastries.

This Lotte Pie no Mi Pear contained 69 g (17 pieces). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
