This is the Meiji Kajū Gumi Yasashii Mini Grape. Each bag contained its weight in fresh fruit juice, specifically, 52 g of fresh grape juice concentrated 6 times to yield 8.8 g of concentrated grape juice. It was rated 1 out of 5 on Meiji’s softness-to-hardness scale.

The gummies, measuring around 1.5 x 1.0 x 0.5 cm, resembled mini bunches of grapes, featuring a translucent red-purple hue and emitting a sweet aroma of red grapes. Upon tasting, these gummies had a soft bounce, with the initial chew sufficient to release the rich musky sweetness of red grapes and subsequent chews intensifying the juicy flavour with a balancing touch of acidity. Despite their softer texture, they remained satisfying, and their mini size resulted in a shorter chew time compared to regular gummies in the Kajū Gumi series. Without a side-by-side comparison with the standard grape (2 out of 5 on the softness-to-hardness scale) the difference in softness was not noticeably apparent. The consistent quality, rich grape flavour, and bouncy texture of these gummies met the expectations associated with the Meiji Kajū Gumi series.
This Meiji Kajū Gumi Yasashii Mini Grape contained 52 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Hong Kong in 2023.
