Nestlé KitKat Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen

This Nestlé KitKat Strawberry Cheesecake is a limited-edition flavour from Japan and part of a series that tastes best when frozen.

The minibars in each bag feature different cold-climate animals on their individual foil wrapping. We found the polar bear, seal and penguin in ours.

The mini bar is an off white colour and contained a strawberry flavoured cream sandwiching the wafers that are enrobed in white chocolate that’s been mixed with freeze-dried strawberries.

The KitKat has a bright strawberry aroma that came through bold yet balanced on tasting. Biting through the crisp wafers, the sandwiching cream offers a contrasting sludginess that delivered a cooling sensation to recall ice cream, while the freeze-dried strawberry in the enrobing chocolate delivered a delectable acidity that restrained the sweetness of the cream and also adds the sensation of popping candy as they’re rehydrated. The cheese aspect, though, is more difficult to place as it came through only as a hint in the finish.

This Nestlé KitKat Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen contained 12 minibars. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2019.
