The noodles featured a noodle cake accompanied by toppings of dehydrated egg, fried bean curd, shrimp, and green onion. The laska paste contained spices, shallot, lemongrass, garlic, coconut sugar, shrimp powder and shrimp paste.

The noodles emitted a fragrant shrimp aroma upon unsealing the packaging. After rehydrating them with boiling water up to the designated line inside the cup for 3 minutes, the soup base transformed into an opaque beige hue, with a slight viscosity that allowed it to coat the noodles, which were al dente without elasticity.

Upon tasting, the soup base released a mellow shrimp flavour accompanied by a subtle hint of coconut and lemongrass, with the latter contributing a fragrant sharpness that enlivened the broth. A lingering spiciness emerged at the back of the throat by mid-bite, developing to a manageable intensity with subsequent bites. The most prominent shrimp flavor came from the singular rehydrated shrimp, while the rehydrated egg and fried bean curd absorbed the flavorful broth. However, while the bean curd retained its texture, the egg did not fare as well, acquiring an unpleasantly mushy softness.

Although the laksa broth lacked the finesse of the Prima Food Singapore Laksa La Mian, it remained a tasty option for a quick snack.
