This is the Senjaku Ame Zeitaku na Gumi Shizuoka no Crown Melon, which contains juice from Shizuoka Prefecture’s Crown Melon, a title given to melons that have passed strict inspections for their freshness, sugar content, flavour and ripeness.

Each gummy was a circular shape, measuring approximately 2 cm in diameter and 0.8 cm in height, emitting a sweet and musky melon aroma. Upon tasting, the gummies offered a satisfyingly resilient texture upon the initial bite, followed by a transition to a softer, jelly-like centre. The outer gummy layer had a mild yet pleasing melon sweetness, evolving into a more robust and vivid musky melon flavour as it progressed towards the inner, jelly-like core. Within the core, a skillfully balanced acidity reminiscent of ripe melon elevated the overall taste experience. When consumed as a whole, the distinct textures of the gummy and jelly components melded and evolved at varying rates on the palate. As the gummy was chewed, a progressively intensifying juiciness emerged, culminating in a remarkably delectable and memorable melon flavour towards the end. This delightful interplay of textures and flavours certainly made these gummies a delightful and worthwhile choice for repurchase.
