This Smith’s Potato Chips Southern Fried Chicken was released as the Sunday flavour in the Family Faves series that also included Mac n’ Cheese and Spag Bol.

The chips were crinkle cut, pale yellow in colour and dusted in a bright orange seasoning with a nondescript savoury aroma. Upon tasting, the flavour was BBQ with more restrained sweetness and a more prominent savoury chicken flavour along with a mix of herbs that bring the slightest hint of heat. If Kentucky Fried Chicken is any indication of southern fried chicken, the overall flavour of these chips does not bring to mind the finger lickin’ goodness of their secret eleven herbs, but on its own, it’s a tastier chicken flavour compared to the usual.
