Suntory Boss Cafe Zeitaku Matcha Latte Concentrate

This is the Suntory Boss Cafe Zeitaku Matcha Latte Concentrate. The recommended dilution ratio is 1 part matcha concentrate to 3 parts milk, with one serving amounting to a 170 mL matcha latte. Each bottle provides enough concentrate for eight 170 mL servings.

Following the 1:3 ratio of concentrate to milk, the resulting beverage had an opaque yet unexpectedly pale green hue, with a sweet but mild matcha aroma. When consumed chilled, the matcha flavour was present but subtle, with smooth, lightly grassy notes. However, it lacked the depth or aromatic complexity typically associated with stronger matcha, and had no bitterness or astringency. When prepared with cow’s milk, which carries a natural sweetness, the drink was slightly too sweet due to the artificial sweetener, acesulfame K, but this sweetness was more balanced when using unsweetened soy milk. Overall, while the matcha concentrate was acceptable, it is not something we’d repurchase.

This Suntory Boss Cafe Zeitaku Matcha Latte Concentrate contained 340 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
