The creamy smoothness of yoghurt from the Tamar Valley makes it easily my favourite brand for yoghurt. This is their recently released The Creamery Greek Style Yoghurt in Strawberries & Cream . It contained 7% fruit (strawberry 5%, strawberry juice 2%) and 5% cream.

The tub is topped generously with the fruit, with a satisfying heaping of strawberry with every bite. The fruit flavour was smooth with minimal seeds and bright in flavour with a balanced acidity and sweetness much like the fresh fruit (although there is added sugar to bring it to 15.6%). The  standout, however, is the velvety smooth and creamy mouthfeel of the yoghurt base itself without an overly pronounced and sometimes off putting dairy quality. While most other brands — including Chobani — have no trouble with the freshness or flavour of the fruit topping, very few capture this satisfying mouthfeel for the yoghurt.
