This is the Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Gohobi Mikan Jelly. It contained mikan segments produced in China as well as mikan juice.

The jelly had a translucent orange hue with about 10 mikan segments, each approximately 2.5 cm in length, mostly suspended at the base. On tasting, the jelly had a barely set consistency that melted immediately on the palate, releasing the flavour of mikan juice with a bright sweetness and minimal acidity. The segments delivered fresh mikan flavour with a touch more acidity than the jelly, but many had white lines indicating lingering pith, and most juice vesicles were already burst, meaning they did not provide a strong burst of mikan flavour. Compared to the honkaku version, which this gohobi version replaced, this one was sweeter but had a less rich and less juicy overall mikan flavour. Nonetheless, it remained enjoyable, though we preferred the honkaku version.

This Tarami Torokeru Ajiwai Gohobi Mikan Jelly contained 200 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
