Glico Pocky Strawberry is a ‘core’ Pocky flavour (along with chocolate and almond crush) with the standard Pocky biscuit stick enrobed in strawberry cream.

This Strawberry Pocky smells and tastes just like the strawberry ice cream from childhood. The strawberry cream is even the same baby pink. Unlike the other flavours of Pocky I’ve posted about, which have been produced in Japan, this Strawberry Pocky was produced in Thailand. A point of difference is in the cream enrobing the Pocky – it’s less smooth and shiny. While that may be because it melted before resolidifying in the package, none of the other Pocky produced in Japan have melted, despite being stored in the same cool and dark location. Perhaps the recipe differs for different manufacturers of Pocky? I’ll have to try the same Pocky produced in Japan to confirm. That aside, once the cream melts in your mouth, it’s consistency is smoother.
The box of Glico Pocky Strawberry Pocky contained 2 packs with ~30 pieces. It was produced in Thailand and purchased in Hong Kong in 2015.
