This UHA Mikakutō Puccho Okinawa Pineapple was an Okinawa-limited edition flavour that we picked up from the prefecture’s antenna store in Tōkyō.

Each candy piece had dimensions of about 2 x 1.5 x 1 cm and was enveloped in an opaque white exterior that encased a translucent yellow core interspersed with opaque golden-yellow gummy particles. A sweet and inviting pineapple aroma emanated from the candy. Upon tasting, the exterior offered a taffy-like texture that effortlessly gave way to the slightly firmer, gummy bits nestled within. The taffy exuded a gentle pineapple sweetness, occasionally graced by fleeting notes of coconut. In contrast, the gummy bits imparted a burst of juicy and aromatic pineapple flavour, akin to the sensation of savoring freshly ripe pineapple juice in gummy form. These candies artfully captured the flavour of tropical, sun-kissed pineapples, combining their lush sweetness with an elegant interplay of textures, culminating in an immensely enjoyable treat.

This UHA Mikakutō Puccho Okinawa Pineapple contained 50 g (5 g x 10 pieces). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2023.
