UHA Mikakutō Cororo Okinawa Pineapple

This is the UHA Mikakutō Cororo Okinawa Pineapple, made with juice from pineapples grown in Okinawa Prefecture. Each bag contained 10 gummies, shaped like small sausages with a golden-yellow hue, measuring approximately 2 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter. They emitted a sweet, vibrant aroma of golden pineapple.

On tasting, the thin membrane yielded crisply, revealing a firm, jelly-like interior. The texture resembled a gelatin-set jelly, with a slight bounce and a more pronounced agar-like al dente ‘crunch’ from the membrane, persisting throughout the chew. A mellow pineapple flavour emerged immediately upon contact with the palate, intensifying after a few chews as the jelly centre released a bold, juicy golden pineapple flavour. The bright sweetness was balanced by a refreshing acidity, capturing the concentrated flavour found in the sweetest sections of the fruit’s base—without the tongue-tingling sensation of fresh pineapple.

Overall, these gummies delivered a bright and fresh golden pineapple flavour, making them worth repurchasing.

This UHA Mikakutō Cororo Okinawa Pineapple contained 40 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
