This is the YBC Levain Prime Cracker Cream Sando Mini Banana Milk, which contained 3.7% milk solids, 0.3% milk fat, and Sumifru’s Banana no Ōsama Kanjuku Ō powder.

In 1972, Sumifru pioneered the cultivation of high-altitude bananas in pursuit of the “tastiest bananas,” deeming them worthy of the name King. Initially produced in low quantities, these bananas gained recognition among connoisseurs as rare and exceptionally flavourful.

Each bag contained 12 crackers, each 0.9 cm thick, with two golden crackers sandwiching a yellow cream layer, occupying about a third of the height. Upon opening, a fragrant aroma of ripe banana emerged.

The first bite delivered an immediate crunch from the savoury biscuit, followed by the smooth, melting texture of the cream. The filling had a rich banana flavour with an aromatic sweetness—more fragrant than a typical Cavendish banana, yet still natural, resembling the flavour profile of sugar bananas. This creamy sweetness contrasted well with the biscuit’s crunchy, savoury quality, which also melted on the palate by the finish, leaving a lingering savoury note. The interplay between the crisp cracker and creamy filling made each bite satisfying, encouraging another.
