Sweet and sticky ribs seem to be a popular (and reasonably cheap) item on menus in the United States if the numerous programs showing on the Food Channel is any indication. And seeing these ribs on the television is enough to have you craving them. And so we find ourselves enjoying these Smith’s Sweet & Sticky BBQ Ribs to kerb that craving without leaving the house.

These chips are dusted with a red-brown seasoning and smell like barbeque sauce. Upon tasting, a pronounced sweetness like barbeque sauce was evident in the first bite, from which a smokey beef flavour emerged, much like a sweeter Worcestershire sauce, before the flavour of the potato finishes each bite. Overall, the flavour of the chips does remind of sweet and sticky BBQ ribs, although we’d prefer a touch less sweetness and eating the real deal, which is more satisfying.
This Smith’s Sweet & Sticky BBQ Ribs contained 150 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia.
