This is the Oreo Golden, a deviation from the usual chocolate biscuit creme cookie.

Each cookie is around 4 cm in diameter and described as a ‘buttery flavoured cookie sandwich with sweet vanilla creme’.

The cookie has a sweet buttery aroma. Upon tasting, the buttery notes came through subtly with a sweetness that disappoints the initial promise of buttery goodness. The cookie is dense and crumbly and lacked the crispness and rich buttery notes of Danish or French cookies. While the vanilla creme centre adds moisture, it also creates an overwhelming sweetness to the cookie that gave the sensation of eating pure icing. We prefer the original Oreo with its perfect contrast between the slightly bitter cocoa biscuit and vanilla creme.
This Oreo Golden contained 133 g. It was produced in Indonesia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
