The soup had a rich, deep yellow hue, with hearty chunks of corn and chicken throughout, and a comforting sweet and savoury aroma. Upon tasting, the broth revealed a savoury chicken flavour with a hint of refreshing sweetness. This was further accentuated by the bursts of vibrant corn flavour from the whole kernels and ample chicken pieces, providing a satisfyingly  substantial texture with every spoonful. While the sweetness from the corn and broth bordered on being slightly overpowering, a subtle adjustment with a spoonful of MSG easily balanced the flavours. Despite this minor tweak, the abundance of hearty corn and chicken chunks, coupled with the absence of onion, has earned this soup a permanent place in our pantry.
