This is the Zunda Saryo Zunda Senbei.

Each box contained 12 individually sealed packages, with each package holding two pieces of senbei.

The senbei had a uniform green-yellow hue, resembling the colour of edamame, and measured approximately 7 cm in diameter and 1 mm thick. Both sides featured a diamond grid pattern, and the aroma was distinctly zunda—slightly sweet and beany with a hint of vanilla. The pronounced zunda fragrance was unexpected, yet delightful.

On tasting, the senbei had a satisfying snappy crispness, immediately delivering the unmistakable flavour of zunda. The sweet, slightly vanilla-like notes were well balanced with the natural green edamame flavour, adding a subtle savoury depth, much like in zunda-based drinks. This senbei was an excellent souvenir from Sendai and well worth purchasing.
