PepsiCo launched a domestic market-inspired flavour for China in 2020 with this Pepsi Osmanthus. Osmanthus is a flowering plant native to China that’s commonly used in East Asia in teas and desserts.

The beverage was a semi-translucent brown colour with a delicate floral aroma and moderate carbonation. Served chilled, the apricot-like floral notes of osmanthus came through gently at the head of each sip before the usual cola notes of Pepsi emerged with its signature acidity towards the finish where the bubbles cleared the palate for a clean aftertaste. The flavouring of cola with osmanthus here elevated the herbal notes of cola seamlessly for an elegantly refreshing beverage.

This PepsiCo Pepsi Osmanthus contained 330 mL. It was produced in China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
