Glico Ice no Mi Kyohō

This is the Glico Ice no Mi Kyohō. It contained 55% juice from kyohō grapes.

Each piece was around 2.5 cm in diameter with bright red-purple colour and bright grape aroma. While each piece usually had a hard exterior (as in the koi kiwi), these had partially defrosted on the trip home. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the interior, which had a thick and creamy mouthfeel — but to a lesser extent than the kiwi which featured dairy in its ingredients — with an intense grape flavour much like a delicious gelato. The grape flavour came through with a similar vibrancy and balanced sweetness and acidity that recalled kyohō grapes and most of the grape-flavoured candy from Japan. These Ice no Mi ice balls were a neat and tasty way to cool off.

This Glico Ice no Mi Kyohō contained 84 mL or 12 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
