This is the Nippon Yell Baumkuchen Nagano Shine Muscat.

It featured bite-sized, rusk-style Baumkuchen soaked in white chocolate flavoured with 0.4% Shine Muscat juice from Nagano Prefecture. Shine Muscat grapes are known for their crisp texture, rich sweetness, and abundant juice.

Each bag contained six pieces, each measuring 2.3 cm in depth, with a 1.7 cm outer rim and a height of 1.5 cm. The pieces had a green-yellow hue and a smooth surface, emitting a mellow, white chocolate aroma.

On tasting, the texture was firm and crunchy, with the chocolate melting easily on the palate. By the second bite, the bright Shine Muscat flavour emerged, delivering a sweet, tropical muscat note at the head. Mid-bite, this vibrancy softened as the flavour of the rusk and white chocolate momentarily took centre stage, before the muscat notes returned in the finish, lingering on the tongue with their characteristic tropical sweetness. Of the three flavours in this series, this was the most subtle, yet still distinct. A well-portioned bite-sized snack for those with a sweet tooth.
This Nippon Yell Rusk-style Baumkuchen Nagano Shine Muscat contained 29 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
