Fujiya x Nippon Yell Palettie Yamanashi Shine Muscat

This is the Fujiya × Nippon Yell Palettie Yamanashi Shine Muscat, a cookie featuring juice from Shine Muscat grapes produced in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Each package contained eight individually sealed cookies. The biscuits measured approximately 4.5 × 3.5 × 1.0 cm, presenting with a golden-tan outer border surrounding a green centre studded with white chocolate chips. The colour contrast clearly separated the two dough components visually. Aroma opened immediately with the floral sweetness strongly characteristic of Shine Muscat grapes.

Initial contact delivered the outer border first, producing a crisp bite with a dense and fine shortbread-style crumb. This contrasted distinctly against the softer and slightly moist green centre. The Shine Muscat flavour emerged immediately with bright juicy sweetness and a recognisable tropical-floral profile closely aligned with the fresh grape itself.

Through the mid-palate, gentle acidity developed as the softer centre dispersed across the palate, allowing the muscat profile to broaden and lift aromatically. The fruit flavour remained clean and well defined without becoming excessively confectionery. As the white chocolate chips gradually softened, they introduced mild creamy sweetness that rounded the sharper fruit profile and gave the biscuit a flavour structure reminiscent of a fruit tart with cream filling. Texture shifted gradually from crisp shortbread fracture into a softer cohesive centre without becoming overly dense.

Towards the finish, the creamy sweetness of the white chocolate integrated with the lingering muscat aroma while the gentle acidity prevented the biscuit from becoming overly rich. Aftertaste carried sweet-tart Shine Muscat freshness alongside mild dairy sweetness.

Overall, a filled cookie with a layered fruit-forward flavour progression and effectively contrasting textural development, resulting in a distinctive Shine Muscat profile supported by balanced sweetness and textural variation.
