This is the Nissin Foods Cup Noodles Lobster Bisque.

The noodles featured a noodle cake accompanied by toppings of dehydrated shrimp and vegetables (carrot, onion, parsley).

Upon opening the package, the noodles emitted a pungent seafood aroma reminiscent of dried squid. After rehydrating them with boiling water up to the designated line inside the cup for 3 minutes, the soup base transformed into an opaque orange-ochre hue with a more subdued seafood scent. On tasting, it revealed a robust seafood flavour, reminiscent of rehydrated shrimp and clam, akin to a lobster bisque but without the musky depth. The soup base had a viscous, creamy consistency, well-supported by the curly noodles that maintained a slightly al dente texture characteristic of Cup Noodles—never mushy despite hydration.

The dried shrimp, once rehydrated, contributed to the seafood-rich flavour and added textural variation, while the onions softened to an unremarkable, rather soft consistency. Overall, this somewhat exotic flavour presented an enjoyable twist on traditional Cup Noodles, and we would consider having it again.
