This is the Ohayo Oishiku Kajitsu Musk Melon, an ice cream bar made with 5% juice from red-fleshed musk melon.

Each stick measured approximately 7 × 2.5 × 2 cm and featured a marbled white and orange appearance. On tasting, the melon flavour emerged immediately, with the concentrated purée primarily on the outer layer. As the ice cream was consumed, the balance shifted progressively toward the dairy component near the stick.

The sweetness was carried by the intense musk melon flavour at the outset, gradually softening as the dairy component became more dominant. The dairy was creamy yet restrained, lacking overt milky notes and offering a smooth, well-judged complement to the fruit. The overall result was balanced and satisfying.

This flavour was enjoyable and well-executed, and the product would be worth revisiting, particularly to explore other variants in the series featuring similarly vibrant fruit purées paired with a gentle dairy base.
