Back in April 2018, Nestlé Japan announced it would be celebrating its 45th year of Japanese operations with a special New Flavour World Summit Campaign, calling for people around the world to cast their vote to decide the next limited-edition Kit Kat flavour.
While strawberry tiramisu won in the end, in the years since the campaign, Nestlé Japan has taken inspiration from the other popular suggestions from that competition for new flavours. This Nestlé KitKat Mint Yogurt is one such example, which was available exclusively at select Don Quijote Stores in Japan.

An exquisite combination of mint’s refreshing scent and yogurt’s refreshing sourness.

Each KitKat is wrapped individually in a light blue coloured foil.

Each mini bar is an off white colour and contained yoghurt flavouring the cream sandwiching the wafers that are enrobed in a mint flavoured white chocolate.

These KitKat have a gentle mint aroma. Upon tasting, the mint notes came through subtle and soft at the head of each bite as the white chocolate melts on the palate. As the crispy wafers give way, the sandwiching cream releases a refreshing tartness that builds to a prominent — but enjoyable — acidity that lingered through to the finish. The mint here is subtle without the usual sharpness of an after-dinner mint but retains its refreshing quality and is not overwhelmed by the bolder yoghurt flavour — a truly balanced flavour.
This Nestlé KitKat Mint Yogurt contained 12 mini bars. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2020.
