Kameda Seika Tsumamidane

This is the Kameda Seika Tsumamidane.

It featured a mix of ten types of rice crackers in 6 individually sealed bags.

The edamame snack is thin and crisp with a rich edamame flavour.

The ajitsuke katakuchi iwashi is a fragrant dried sardine seasoned with toasted sesame and sweet and spicy honey. The fish was very crisp with layers of sweet savoury giving a rich flavour to complement the fish.

The pi-age consisted of a deep-fried peanut paste, which gave a light-as-air crunch with a warm and savoury peanut flavour.

The kuromame arare is a rice cracker with crushed black soybeans embedded into it. It gave a firm, audible crunch from the rice component with the warm nuttiness of the black soybeans coming through to add a bolder crunch and flavour.

The ebi-sen is a thin shrimp rice cracker that dissolved swiftly to release a rich aroma of the sea.

The umakuchi bean is flavoured with sweetened soy sauce, which delivered a deep sweet-savoury flavour that was amplified by the cut seaweed.

The hachimitsu-age is a crispy and light, fried rice cracker that had the gentle sweetness of honey.

The nori maki had one of the boldest flavours of the rice crackers, featuring a spicy soy sauce and nori seaweed wrapper. It delivered a delectably toasty umami depth that ended with the slightest hint of heat.

The ika-ten is a crispy squid tempura with a fun shape and a vivid squid flavour.

The shou-ebi is a thin, crispy cracker with a fragrant grilled shrimp flavour.

The ten types of crackers were well distributed, with at least one of each type in each bag. Each was distinct in its flavour, yet all were delicious, making for the perfect snack.

This Kameda Seika Tsumamidane contained 120 g. It was produced in Japan and China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
