This is the Watermelon Mont G&T ($10.00) from Holy Duck! It consisted of zero-alcohol gin, fresh mint, fresh watermelon and watermelon shrub. A shrub is a fruit-infused vinegar syrup.

The mocktail was a cloudy salmon-red colour with fresh watermelon floating inside and garnished with a mint leaf. Consumed chilled, the watermelon notes came through fresh with mellow acidity and a sweetness that was well-restrained by the subtle harshness of the zero-alcohol gin, which also gave the drink a dry finish. Overall, the drink was enjoyable but the combination of the bitterness from the gin with the sweetness of the watermelon made it almost impossible to avoid comparisons with cough syrups.
