This is the Coconut Lavender Lemonade ($9.00) from Holy Duck! It’s a ‘bespoke non-alcoholic cocktail’ made from fresh lemon juice, coconut water, butterfly pea and lavender-infused syrup.

Visually, the drink was a grey-purple colour, which is not the best first impression and not quite what one expects of butterfly pea or lavender. Consumed chilled as served without stirring, the drink had a very intense lavender flavour that strongly recalled soap, but stirred, the notes of lavender mellowed to an enjoyable floral and earthy flavour with the butterfly pea becoming more distinct as the syrup mingled with the sweetness of the coconut water and the balancing acidity of the lemon juice. It was a unique and enjoyable drink.

This Coconut Lavender Lemonade was purchased at Holy Duck! located at 10/2 Kensington St, Chippendale NSW 2008 in November 2021.
