Initial contact delivered an immediate confectionery sweetness reminiscent of marshmallow, establishing the dominant flavour profile from the outset. Through the mid-palate, the pistachio component presented more like a sweet pistachio spread than roasted pistachios, resulting in a comparatively muted nut character. While recognisable, the pistachio lacked the depth, savouriness and aromatic richness expected of the style. The kataifi contributed some crunch, though its crispness was relatively subdued and did not provide the pronounced textural contrast that often defines successful Dubai-inspired desserts. Towards the finish, sweetness remained the dominant impression. The pistachio, marshmallow and pastry elements blended into a largely homogeneous profile, with limited contrast between sweet and savoury notes.

While approachable and likely appealing to those seeking a dessert-forward experience, the cookie lacked the balance and structural complexity that would elevate it beyond a confectionery-style treat.
