UHA Mikakutō Cororo Sato Nishiki Cherry

This is the UHA Mikakutō Cororo Sato Nishiki Cherry. They contain fruit juice from Sato Nishiki cherries from Yamagata Prefecture, which are well known for their sweet and juicy flavour.

Each gummy was an orange hue with a sausage-like shape measuring approximately 1.5 cm in length and 1 cm in diameter. A sweet aroma reminiscent of grapes emanated from them. Upon tasting, the outer skin offered a firm resistance to the teeth before transitioning into the inner jelly-like core. This softer centre housed the cherry flavour, gradually revealing its sweetness along with its characteristic touch of acidity after a few bites. This interplay of textures and flavours was notably distinct from the typical bouncy consistency of traditional Japanese gummies. Rather, the crisp skin enveloping the tender interior closely replicated the experience of biting into fresh cherries. This effective emulation of both texture and flavour rendered these gummies quite appealing and certainly worthy of consideration for repurchase.

This UHA Mikakutō Cororo Sato Nishiki Cherry contained 40 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Ōsaka, Japan in 2023.
