This Nespresso Paris Black is the third of the limited edition trio offered for the 2018 festive season.

It’s a blend of Arabicas with Robusta with an intensity of 9 out of 12. It comes in a black and white harlequin patterned capsule.

The espresso was a translucent brown-black colour with a spicy and woody aroma. Made as a long black with a 1:1 water to espresso ratio, woody notes came through at the head of each sip with a gentle acidity before a toasted cereal and warm nuttiness develop in the body. A gentle spiciness emerged in the finish and lingered long on the palate. Overall, the coffee had an enjoyable syrupy mouthfeel, with the cereal and nutty notes in the body recalling the Dharkan without its marked bitterness.

This Nespresso Paris Black contained 10 x 5.3 g capsules. It was produced in Switzerland and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
