The coffee was grown at high altitude in Loja Province, Ecuador, and presented as a light-roast coffee with floral and sweet fruit characteristics.
The coffee presented with a translucent rich-brown hue, with aroma opening with sweet stone fruit.
Initial contact delivered a delicate, dewy floral quality with a light body and smooth mouthfeel. Through the mid-palate, stone-fruit acidity emerged gradually, building on the floral character rather than introducing sharpness. The two elements converged towards the finish into a flavour profile reminiscent of white peach, with the floral character remaining delicate rather than perfumed.
The coffee maintained a clean structure throughout, without unwanted bitterness or excessive acidity. Its light body and restrained acidity allowed the floral and fruit characteristics to remain clearly defined, delivering closely on the profile expected from the coffee. While interesting to experience, the lighter, fruit-driven character remained some distance from the darker and richer profiles generally preferred.
Overall, a light-roast washed coffee with a gradually rising floral and stone-fruit trajectory and a smooth, light body, resulting in a clean and delicate white-peach-like profile.
